Send a payment link (text-to-pay)

Text or email a secure link so customers can pay from their phone before they arrive.

Updated Oct 3, 2026

A payment link lets customers pay the balance from their phone, often before they arrive to pick up the car. The payment posts to the repair order by itself.

You can send a payment link from several places:

  • Taking a payment on a repair order: click Send a payment link on the payment screen.
  • From an invoice: click Send payment link (text-to-pay).
  • From Payments → Payment links: click New payment link and pick the customer and ticket.

Check the amount (it defaults to the balance due, but you can lower it to take a deposit), choose text, email or both, and send.

The customer opens the link, sees the ticket total and what's already paid, and pays by card. Depending on your setup, they can also pay straight from their bank account.

Payments → Payment links lists every link with its status: not sent, open, paid or cancelled. You can resend a link or cancel one that's no longer needed. A cancelled link stops working right away.

Tip: Send the link as soon as the work is approved and finished. Many customers pay before they arrive, and pickup takes a minute.

When the customer has paid

The payment appears on the repair order and the balance updates. You still close the ticket when the car is picked up, so the work is locked and the customer's history is complete.
