Add team members and set their roles

Invite your advisors, technicians and managers, and control what each person can do.

Updated Oct 3, 2026

Everyone at your shop should have their own login. That way you can see who did what, and each person only sees what they need.

Invite someone

  1. Go to Settings → Team and click Invite.
  2. Enter their email address and job title.
  3. Choose a role (see below).
  4. Say whether they're a technician or service advisor. This adds them to technician assignments and advisor lists.
  5. Click Send invitation.

They get an email with a link to set their password. If they already use AutoSync at another shop, your shop is simply added to their account. You can resend or cancel an invitation from the Team page.

Custom roles

Need something different? Go to Settings → Team → Roles and click New custom role. Pick exactly which permissions it includes. Every permission change is recorded in the audit log with before and after.

When someone leaves

Open their profile on the Team page and click Deactivate. They're signed out everywhere right away, and their history stays on the repair orders they worked on. You can reactivate them later.

Tip: Ask everyone to turn on two-factor sign-in, especially owners and managers.
